"Ohana" is one of the last Jeanneau DS 44's off the line from the Marion, SC Jeanneau factory. From the beginning this boat was special. Custom ordered by the seller with the guidance of Scott Rocknak, "Ohana" was carefully thought out and even visited under construction at the factory.
Upon delivery, this Jeanneau DS44 entered the heated facility where it would be stored each winter season. That first winter the boat was custom painted Flag Blue with a silver silver cove stripe and whit waterline. Its bottom was professionally epoxy coated and painted with Petit Vivid mixed to a light grey.
"Ohana" shows as new and has been professionally maintained by the same yard and crew since delivery. Summers were spent in New Hampshire and Maine. When not cruising "Ohana" was berthed in a slip or on a harbor float in Camden, Maine.
The well equipped factory option sheet includes, a shoal keel, 3 Cabins and 2 Heads, Ambiance Linen Interior Upholstery, Excellence Pack, Electronics Ocean Pack, Electric Winches, Second Cabin Top Winch, Cabin Top Electric Winch to Port, Second Windlass Control, Cockpit Table Cover, Outboard Bracket, Wood Cockpit Table, Vinyl Rubrail, Cockpit Cushions (matches canvas), Bow Thruster, Extra Water Tank, Generator, 110v Microwave, Air Conditioning, Salon Berth Conversion Kit, Electric Head Forward, Extra Batteries (all Odyssey AGM, best of the best), Inverter, 3-Blade Folding Prop, TV Antenna, GPS Maps, Teak Cockpit Sole, Teak Decks.
Treated with kit-gloves its entire existence by owner and yard alike, "Ohana" is worth the visit and further investigation. Come see its impeccably maintained teak decks. Its custom canvas package, davits, and more.
The Canvas Package includes a full custom dodger with oversized stainless steel tubing and hardware, 40-gauge strata glass for windows, removable side curtain, fold-up center window, connector between dodger and the bimini. Bimini has forward strut-bars and easily folds up. Dodger and bimini have overhead windows to see the sails. Bimini has a matching boot cover.
Flag Blue hull is painted with Epifanes Two-Part Polyurethane. It is this broker's opinion that the hull shows more depth and richness than other similar applications. The cove stripe is a custom silver metallic paint to appear as "silver leaf" giving "Ohana" a distinctive appearance.
The teak deck and cockpit have been maintained with Natural Semco. This was done to always give the boat a "fresh from the factory" appearance. The cockpit table is varnished with 12 coats of Epifanes Wood Finish Gloss. The side steps to the cockpit are Natural Cetol. The combination of the teak, flag blue hull, and the canvas details brings compliments from many who see "Ohana".
A full manual is included, as all Jeanneaus of this vintage, however there are detailed additional wiring, plumbing, and other diagrams available that were obtained from the factory on delivery.
Low hours on the engine and generator. Sails in excellent condition, interior shows as new. "Ohana" is an excellent example of the marque. This is a preliminary listing. Please contact us for all the details.
The combination of a Philippe Briand designed hull and an interior and deck design by Franck Darnet & Flahault Design has yielded a boat that is not only a joy to sail, but exceptionally comfortable. All sheets are lead aft to the helm to make sail handling very simple for a short-handed crew.
