This elegant 47-foot Clipper with classic lines is made according to drawings from Randösund's boat building in Norway. The boat has space for a long vacation at sea. The boat is safe and has very good seaworthiness, therefore very suitable even for long voyages at sea. The current owners have only sailed the boat very sparingly, as it has mostly been used as a residence by the summer house. When updating navigation, water supply & pressurized water systems etc. The boat will probably be a dream boat for many long-distance sailors.
The boat is incredibly robustly built with its plastic-wrapped lead keel (8 tons), the fiberglass hull in single laminate is very well made. The Colin Archer construction of the underwater hull means that it protects the rudder and propeller well. The hull itself is also heavily dimensioned. Glulam deck beams, 22mm marine plywood, 5 layers of 450g fiberglass fabric also make the deck extremely strong. The entire tire is then insulated with 7cm Styrofoam insulation and the ceiling is 5mm Perstorp.
The spacious cockpit provides plenty of space during sailing and accommodates many. In the bright wheelhouse, the family enjoys breakfast in the glitter of the morning sun.
Downstairs is the large lounge with a large U-shaped sofa with space for a dinner for 6 pers. Down in the boat it feels cozy and welcoming. The light pine panel means that the boat does not feel dark inside. The large openable skylight provides great light and ventilation, when needed. In the practical kitchenette, directly on the port side below the stairs, you stand firmly and have everything within easy reach. Good storage space for crockery and dry goods and a solid cooling box. Behind the kitchenette is a solid knitting berth.
Starboard around the stairs is the entrance to the laundry room & toilet. Both spaces have plenty of space for the purpose.
The front cabin has a V-berth which with extension leaf becomes a comfortable double berth. The cabin also has plenty of storage. Interior in pine and also here a lovely sky light that provides light.
To the aft of the salon there is a descent to two smaller sleeping cabins / huts.
The boat is ready to be used as a holiday boat or summer cottage, but can of course be converted into a home with fairly small funds. The biggest potential is probably still to upgrade it to a fantastic long-distance sailor in the long run. You have to look for a stronger boat properly!
