WHY NOT is a fine example of the Swan 56 class. The yacht has been with her current owner since 2007 and has enjoyed good maintenance and upgrades. The interior layout is very practical and finished in the traditional teak style of Nautor.
She is a typical “cruiser-racer” – offering blue water cruising capability combined with good racing performance. The yacht can be sailed by a couple for cruising. The deck and rig plan are well organised with line controls to the aft cockpit. This Swan 56 is a great family yacht.
As an example of her capabilities she has in the past months cruised the Med for family holidays, crossed the Atlantic and cruised the Caribbean. Jan – April 2016 the yacht was ashore in St Lucia.
In April she was serviced, prepared and launched – thereafter she sailed to Bermuda and then up to Rhode Island. She completed the Newport-Bermuda race in June 2016 and returned north.
During the summer 2016 she was based near New York City. Winter 2016-17 and summer 2017 she was ashore in Rhode Island. WHY NOT was shipped back to Spain in October 2017. She has spent the winter ashore at Barcelona, Spain receiving constant professional maintenance. May 2018 she is being commissioned, launched and prepared for the new season and a new owner.
The owner of WHY NOT now wishes to trade up to a larger Swan yacht.
