The HR39 is a superb cruising yacht with sparkling performance that is a pleasure to sail and will give pride of ownership indefinitely. The hull was designed for its seaworthiness and to give good sailing; it was not built to a formula or to maximize racing rules. The deck is laid for correct functioning rather than appearance. The fact that it looks so good is a bonus. With regard to equipment you will see typical Hallberg-Rassy solutions plus some innovations which represent real improvements. The hull and deck of the HR 36 are built under constant supervision of the Lloyd's Register of Shipping, and a Lloyd's Certificate is supplied with each boat. The hull is of laminate construction by the hand lay-up method, insulated above water line against heat and cold with PVC-foam. The lead keel with reinforcement is bolted on with 15 stainless steel bolts. The rudder is carefully mounted for sensitive rudder feel. The cockpit is protected with a strong windscreen with opening center section and sprayhood over front part of cockpit. The sprayhood can be rolled away neatly into a smart protective cover. Generous dimensions of standing and running rigging avoid fatigue during unrestricted ocean sailing. All interior woodwork is in light mahogany with a matte silk finish. Access to the toilet compartment is freely available from any part of the boat without disturbing anybody.
