The Barbican 33 was designed by Maurice Griffiths, with a shoal draft long keel and centreplate (for which the designer is well known) and has a reputation as a robust high quality and seaworthy cruising yacht. 'Red Dawn IV' is presented in excellent condition, with a full cruising inventory and is ready to sail away. The boat was accepted at the Brest classic boat festival in 2008 and the yacht's 'toile de mer' was presented to the festival.

BMW D35/2 30hp, twin cylinder, inboard diesel engine with ZF gearbox to shaft drive and two bladed fixed propeller. Stainless steel 110 litre fuel tank. Cruising speed 5/6 knots and maximum speed under engine 7 knots. Engine hours approx. 2,800. The engine has been regularly serviced and well maintained the injectors were reconditioned in 2007. Spare parts are still available for the engine.
'Red Dawn IV' is a Barbican 33 class of yacht designed by Maurice Griffiths. The hull was manufactured in 1986 by Barbican Yacht Construction Ltd and the fitting out was completed by her first owner and launched in October 1990. White GRP hull and superstructure with full length keel with lifting galvanised steel centreplate (replaced in 2010) and some internal ballast. Light blue painted non-slip decks. Tiller steering with skeg hung rudder. Aft self draining cockpit. The underwater hull has been epoxied from new and Coppercoat antifouling was applied in 2010.
