The Fisher 37 Pilothouse hull is hand laid GRP. From the waterline down is finished in clear gel coat. Some 6 tons of cast iron ballast is fully enclosed within the fiberglass keel and and completely covered over with more laminations making it part of the hull structure. The structural bulkheads, of marine plywood are fully bonded to the hull. Robust double skin GRP bulwarks, incorporate the hull to deck joint and are moulded to the deck, finishing by capping with 25mm thick teak.
Teak rubbing strake and Teak complete the bulwark. The deck is robust hand-laid GRP moulding. Balsa is incorporated in all horizontal areas for stiffing and marine plywood fills in the deck fittings. Heavily stressed areas are reinforced with unidirectional glass. The deck is completely bonded to the hull. In addition it is bolted throughout the whole hull to deck joint. Bulkheads are laminated to the deck for a heavy duty bonding.
V-Berth area has two full length single berths and a center fill-in section to make it a double. Storage lockers are located below. A chain locker is forward of the berths. An opening hatch in the bulkhead allows access. One opening port on each side of the coach roof with two berth lights on the bulkhead. The door to saloon is paneled. V-Berth area has ventilator to deck. Above you will find an opening skylight hatch with screens. There are two small shelves at the head of each berth, two lockers aft of each berth, one a hanging locker, the other has shelves for storage.
Guest cabin is to port with a double berth. You will find clothes storage locker with shelves, and a hanging locker. There is an overhead light plus berth reading light. Ventilation light is from an opening.
The settee is L-Shaped to port with lockers and stowage outboard under the side deck. Settee can be used as a berth. Storage is found below with drawers and behind the settee back. Two opening windows in the coach roof with a ventilation hatch over allows in light and air.
