The main deck is Spaciousfrom the aft deck through the salon and adjacent galley forward to the pilothouse helm area with generous headroom. Design Elements combine tasteful carpets, fabrics, furnishings and decor throughout. Complementing the luxurious interior is Cherry cabinetry, doors and wall panels, Karadon countertops along with matching hardware for light fixtures, doors, cabinets and drawers.
Appliances aboard INDEPENDENCE were installed maximizing use of space in all areas. In the galley is an upright refrigerator with an integral freezer compartment, propane cooktop and oven, microwave, dishwasher, and trash compactor. Above on the flybridge is a U-line undercounter refrigerator with an ice maker. In the lower companionway is the washer and dryer.
Well-appointed Accommodations include a full beam, queen bed Stateroom with ensuite head, tub and shower, VIP cabin forward, port Guest cabin with over-under bunks, an adjacent shared head and shower, an abundance of hanging lockers, drawers, and storage compartments in all accommodation areas with the laundry adjacent.
You will be impressed with access into the Engine room and between the engines with ample room forward and outboard for accessibility to critical systems. The Reliable and efficient Cummins QSM11 Marine Diesel 660 hp Main Engines with underwater exhaust and only 725 hours Managed by a 2-station ZF electronic engine control system, are the heart of Performance offering high torque and low rated RPM providing excellent vessel control. Balancing the Robust drivetrain are ZF 311A gears with a 2.033:1 ratio, 3" stainless steel propeller shafts, PSS (dripless shaft seals) by PYI, Bronze 4-blade propellers, Bronze spade rudders and struts, and Hynautic/Teleflex hydraulic steering system.
Exterior spaces on the main deck extend forward from the aft cockpit along wide side decks to the foredeck area. At the Bow Area resides a Lewmar electric windlass anchoring system, polished stainless steel anchor, adjacent anchor launch & retrieve foot pedal controls, chain locker with easy access, raw and freshwater washdowns are well-positioned to aid in cleanup.
Access to the Fly Bridge is either via aft cockpit molded stairs or by ascending the starboard side interior stairs in the Pilothouse. On the Fly Bridge deck forward and centerline is the helm area with SIMRAD electronics, a MERCURY Smartcraft SC5000 engine display, 2-adjustable helm chairs, starboard side entertainment center, and port side lounge area.
The Centerpiece on the flybridge is a molded L-lounge, and an outdoor entertainment area with sink and faucet, MAGMA stainless steel propane grill, refrigerator, and ice maker. The Expansive flybridge is protected from the grill area forward to the helm by the canvas Bimini Top.
Aft of the outdoor galley, the Boat Deck section is a self-draining non-skid FRP deck area presenting a fabulous multi-use area with plentiful space.
To port is the power rotation HCR 1600-pound capacity davit.
Fully integrated Electrical System with ONAN 17 kW 120/240VAC/60 Hz Marine Diesel Generator, Victron Multiplus 3 kW 24/3000/70 inverter/charger & remote panel for ship's service, Sure Power 52210 12V/24V Equalizer, Halogen and LED Lighting, (12) 6V golf cart batteries for thrusters and service banks, (2) group 34 generator start, and (4) group 31 for engine starting, aft Glendinning Cablemaster motorized storage system with retraction and extension of the 50A/125/250V shore power cord, the 120V/240VAC and Inverter breaker panel and the 24V/12VDC breaker panels are located in the pilothouse and well labeled.
SIMRAD Electronics Suite components are installed at both the Fly Bridge and Lower Helm including SIMRAD 18.5” MFD Touch-screen color displays with preloaded maps. A MERCURY Smartcraft Vessel Monitoring System supplies critical data to a monitor at the pilothouse and flybridge helms while a separate SCEPTRE x5V-Gecko monitor is connected to the camera monitoring system with cameras located in the engine room and aft cockpit.
The Comfortclimate control throughout the accommodations, main deck, lazarette and engine room is a 5-zone air conditioning with reverse cycle heat system. A Webasto Hydronic Diesel Furnace system with multi-zone controls is plumbed throughout the accommodations and main deck.
A Horizon Seafari Desalinization water-making system is installed with a remote-control panel conveniently located within the pilothouse AC breaker panel.

Stepping aboard INDEPENDENCE, it's the Solid feel that draws you in.
Aboard the full-width molded fiberglass non-skid swim platform, you note an (in water) boarding ladder, aft corner stainless steel cleats and a transom top mount stainless steel railing. Built into the substantial transom are (2) large transom storage compartments, the compartment to port houses the Glendinning cable master shore power cord system controls.
Next, you Intuitively lay hold of a well-placed handrail and ascend the molded non-skid step to the aft cockpit.
Situated on the aft cockpit to port is a handy storage locker, to starboard are molded steps to access the flybridge, and stairs are hinged for engine room access. On the cockpit deck are large opening hatches for access to the lazarette where an abundance of open storage, the ONAN 17kW generator, and batteries are. Overhead and facing aft is a camera streaming video for security to an onboard display.
When lounging in the aft cockpit you have Unobstructed visibility forward through the salon and galley with an open sightline starboard side directly into the pilothouse.
Flanking the aft cockpit transom port and starboard are hinged, opening FRP Boarding gates.
Port and starboard wide non-skid Walkaround Decks, welded stainless steel handrails with stanchions mounted atop the gunwales, provide convenient maneuvering about the side decks. Stainless steel cleats are positioned along each side are accessible from aboard or outside the vessel.
Moving forward from the aft cockpit are large embedded fixed frameless windows that allow natural light in while offering less worry for leaks. Cleverly concealed engine room ventilation plenums are installed in the hull sides below the gunwales.
To starboard is a Pilothouse door for accessing to and from the interior main deck pilothouse.
The Foredeck is FRP non-skid with perimeter stainless steel welded handrail, bow rail, and gunwale mounted stanchions. Two deck hatches for the VIP stateroom are located between the Lewmar electric windlass anchor system and windshield. At the bow are a polished stainless steel anchor and chain, chain locker, raw and freshwater washdown outlets located in the chain locker, windlass foot pedal controls and bow cleats.
Transitioning to the flybridge from the aft cockpit is through a hinged overhead fiberglass hatch for Security and weather protection via fiberglass molded steps with non-skid treads and stainless steel safety railing.
INDEPENDENCE's Fly Bridge aluminum frame venturi with smoke tint panels and centerline helm are positioned forward providing excellent visibility directly ahead of the bow and includes (2) adjustable helm chairs for comfort while cruising, port molded bench seat with storage, custom stainless steel steering wheel, Ritchie compass, a comprehensive suite of Systems Controls & Electronics including (1) SIMRAD MFD touch screen display, SIMRAD AP24 Autopilot Control Screen, MERCURY Smartcraft Engine Monitoring Display, SIMRAD HS35 VHF, ZF electronic engine controls, engine ignitions, DOC System (Docking on Command) bow and stern thruster controls, dual analog VDO gauges, electronic engine synchronizer, trumpet horn switch, searchlight control, Bennett trim tab controls, windlass remote control with anchor chain counter, Fusion stereo, USB charge port, navigation lights systems panel, and beverage holders.
The radar arch has the anchor light mast, electronics and communications antennas mounted above, (2) lights beneath, (4) JBL stereo speakers.
For Dining, Entertaining, and Relaxing the hub of the flybridge is laid out with an FRP molded L-lounge, storage below, Outdoor Galley that includes a MAGMA propane grill, sink and faucet, storage below, U-Line refrigerator with an integral ice maker.
A power rotation HCR 1600-pound capacity davit is aft of the port side L-lounge.
The flybridge Decking is FRP molded non-skid with deck drains aft.
Access to the pilothouse is through a locking curved, sliding hatch with screen into an open staircase with teak treads and a handrail.
Crossing over the threshold of a stainless steel framed sliding glass door with a retractable screen, you enter the Salon from the aft cockpit feeling the breadth and expanse through the interior main deck open floor plan. Large frameless windows port and starboard allowing voluminous amounts of natural light to fill the spaces have adjustable blinds for privacy. Overhead is the custom headliner, LED task lighting combined with dimmable fixtures, soft indirect lighting at the perimeter above the windows and stereo speakers. Cherry panel cabinetry with Karadon countertops highlights storage cabinets, salon high-low table, dinette table, and the entertainment cabinet in the starboard aft corner with a built-in TV, DVD/AM/FM/CD player. The furnishings include an upholstered chair with ottoman and storage in the port aft corner, Ultraleather luxuriously upholstered sofa that converts to a double pullout bed, starboard side crescent-shaped settee with storage and central vacuum below, and a u-shaped dinette with storage below. The flooring is carpeted with special sound attenuating underlayment. Adjoining the salon and dinette area is the Galley, with a durable teak and holly floor that brings warmth and ease of cleanup. Cherry cabinetry throughout the galley provides an abundance of storage above and below the Karadon solid surface counters. All cabinetry door and drawer hardware are matching. Forward of the galley is the Pilothouse with a sturdy starboard side door leading to the exterior side decks and inside stair access to the flybridge via molded curved hatch. The centerline helm chair is adjustable and mounted on a stainless steel pedestal for comfort while cruising. Confident vessel maneuvering and docking is achieved with ZF electronic engine controls, MERCURY Smartcraft Vessel Monitoring System and bow and stern thrusters.
Cherry finished custom cabinetry with storage, port side built-in custom fabric upholstered L-settee with storage below and Karadon solid surface table brings a social feel to the pilothouse. Frameless windows port, starboard and windshield allow voluminous amounts of natural light to fill the spaces and come with exterior Sunbrella canvas covers for privacy. Overhead is the custom headliner and LED task lighting. Climate control comfort is provided by air conditioning with reverse cycle heat as well as a diesel furnace outlet. USB charge port and 110VAC outlets provide on-demand power.
A curved stairway with railing, carpeted steps and cherry wood paneling takes you to the Foyer landing which is well-lit overhead and has courtesy lights in the stair risers. At the base of the stairs, accommodation doors with matching hardware guide you to each of the three staterooms, guest head, and a mirrored door opens to the centrally located separate Washer and Dryer.
The midship full beam Stateroom is a statement of luxury possessing a queen-sized walk-around bed with custom mattress, bedding and pillows, storage drawers, Cherry cabinetry with latching cabinet, drawer and door hardware, custom headliner and wall fabrics, dimmable fixtures, Karadon solid surface top nightstands, carpeted, padded flooring, hanging clothes locker space, and opening portlight with cover for privacy. A well-appointed Private ensuite head includes a vanity and shower, opening portlight, exhaust fan, and storage cabinetry. A TV/CD/DVD player are to starboard with storage spaces. The entrance to the Engine Room is through the hinged aft cockpit stairs. Located within are the twin Cummins QSM11 660hp marine diesel engines each with underwater exhaust, ZF transmissions, 3” stainless steel shafts, PSS dripless shaft seal systems by PYI, oil change system, bilge pumps, high water alarm, Webasto hydronic diesel heat system, air conditioning sea water pump, fresh and raw water pumps, 800 gallons diesel fuel storage, main engine dual Racor fuel system filtration, fuel hoses, crossover valves with returns, fire suppression system, engine room ventilation fans, lighting overhead, bronze seacocks and sea strainers on engine raw water intakes, inverter, chargers, and battery switches.

Depending on load and sea conditions, INDEPENDENCE as equipped is Capable of speeds 6 knots idle and achieving 25 knots at full RPM. With 800 gallons of diesel fuel, at 20 knots cruising the range is approximately 300 miles.
