GRP constructed angling/workboat with heavy layup, semi-displacement hull. Flared bow minimises water onto the deck and long keel section aids directional stability at displacement speeds. Skeg mounted rudder with prop guard attachment to keel. Topsides painted in smart navy blue with white waterline boot top. Moulded rubrail from midships aft protects hull when along side. Hull to deck join finished in heavy duty D-Fendering.
Deep, self bailing cockpit with scupper drains aft. High gunwales give the angler security on the drift whilst the additional stainless steel cockpit rails increases safety. Vessel is powered by a 6 cylinder, fresh water cooled, Cummins 6CTA inboard diesel. This 300hp unit was installed in 2007. New engine bearers were installed along with an 80 gallon fuel tank. Engine is situated in the cockpit beneath a custom built engine box. This allows easy all round access for major servicing and daily checks. Engine has been well maintained and serviced annually at the end of the season allowing fresh oil in the engine should she not be used in the winter.
PRM 1.5 reduction gearbox driving a 1"3/4 diameter stainless steel shaft and 4 -bladed bronze aquapoise propeller. She will happily cruise in any sea at 12-14 knots and has a top speed of 23 knots. Deep sea shaft seal.
Bank of 2X12V batteries providing both 12 and 24V systems. The electronic navigation aids run on 12V and the engine runs of 24V. These are in good shape and were last replaced 2018 and 2020. The batteries are recharged via the engine alternator.
This boat is primarily used as a platform from which to catch fish. However there is a cabin with a horseshoe seating arrangement that provides two single berths. There is a sink unit but at the present time the boat is not plumbed for running water. There is also a toilet compartment which is used as a store for angling equipment and wet weather gear.
